It\u2019s better to pick one that makes sense to you and has proven results, then commit yourself to it, and that\u2019s what I\u2019m going to share with you in this blog.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Campaign_Type_Long_Tails\"><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Campaign Type: Long Tails<\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Longtails are our name for campaigns that come up from a mixture of keyword research &amp; concatenation (more on that later).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Basically we want to use Amazon keyword tools such as Helium 10 to find every possible mid-high volume keyword relevant to this product. There are many resources on <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.amzonestep.com\/blog\/how-to-use-amazon-keywords-foryour-produts\/\"><strong>how to do Amazon keyword research<\/strong><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> available online so I won\u2019t go into that here, but here is how you structure long-tail campaigns.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><b>Campaign Structure<\/b><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Create a new campaign titled \u201cProduct Name &#8211; Long Tails &#8211; ASIN\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Create new ad groups for each match type<\/span>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0\u201cBroad &#8211; Product Name &#8211; Long Tails &#8211; ASIN\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cPhrase -Product Name &#8211; Long Tails &#8211; ASIN\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cExact &#8211; Product Name &#8211; Long Tails &#8211; ASIN\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cBMM &#8211;\u00a0 Product Name &#8211; Long Tails &#8211; ASIN\u201d (stands for Modified Broad Match, the secret 4th match type)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So to recap, there is only 1 campaign and 4 ad groups within the campaign. Yes, I know what you\u2019re thinking \u201cisn\u2019t that a waste of money?\u201d The answer is no, actually the opposite.<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bidding on your own products protects you from getting poached by competitors. On average there are 26 other products showing up on every one of your product pages. You want to take up the most real estate possible to reduce the chance shoppers will click off to a competitor.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Showing customers your other products will help you dominate your \u201cFrequently Bought Together\u201d section for even more free real estate.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Your customers may prefer one of your other products, so your overall conversion rate will be higher when they easily find a similar product of yours they were looking for.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It\u2019s not uncommon for these campaigns to have ACoS below 5%, and the benefits far outweigh the downsides, and they\u2019re super simple to set up.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Simply create 1 product targeting campaign \u201cReal Estate &#8211; Brand Name,\u201d add all your products as target destinations, &amp; all your products as ad targets.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Filtered_Product_Targeting_Campaign\"><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Filtered Product Targeting Campaign<\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">My second favorite way to use PT is by using categories &amp; filters. With product targeting campaigns you have the option to target specific product categories, then filter by review star rating &amp; price.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We\u2019ve played around with many filters, but the one that seems to work the best is this one.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Category: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Same product category as yours<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Review Rating:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Worse than yours, so if yours is 4, target anything below 4<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Price: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Higher than yours<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This works because we are using broad targeting in a category, but then only showing up on products we are more likely to be more appealing than. Targeting categories without these filters rarely works well.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><strong>Read More:-\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.amzonestep.com\/blog\/mistakes-of-selling-on-amazon\/\">7 Deadly Mistakes to Avoid While Selling on Amazon<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Automatic_Campaigns\"><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Automatic Campaigns<\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Most Amazon sellers set up 1 auto campaign and call it a day, but with some recent improvements to auto campaigns, we have a bit more control than we used to. Here\u2019s what I recommend.<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Set up 4 automatic campaigns, the only difference being the bid. When creating the campaign it will tell you the suggested bid range. Set 1 campaign at the highest suggested bid, 1 at the lowest, then 2 at equal intervals in between the highest &amp; lowest.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The goal here is to identify the ideal bid.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After running for a few weeks, come back in and see which bid is performing the best. Switch all 4 campaigns to that bid, then change the targeting so that you have 1 campaign for each of the 4 automatic targeting types. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-7102\" src=\"https:\/\/www.amzonestep.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Automatic-Campaigns.jpg\" alt=\"Automatic Campaigns\" width=\"768\" height=\"432\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.amzonestep.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Automatic-Campaigns.jpg 1920w, https:\/\/www.amzonestep.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Automatic-Campaigns-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.amzonestep.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Automatic-Campaigns-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.amzonestep.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Automatic-Campaigns-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.amzonestep.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Automatic-Campaigns-1536x864.jpg 1536w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> You are now left with 4 automatic campaigns at the ideal bid and 1 for each of the 4 targeting types so you have more control over their performance. All you have to do now is adjust the budgets or shut them off if their performance is consistently low.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Retargeting_Ads\"><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Retargeting Ads<\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These are a newer type of ad &amp; we have only 2 variables to control so this section will be short.
